Style Refresh

New year, new you. Start 2024 in style with our luxury brands.

Whether it’s refreshing your wardrobe or freshening up with a brand new scent, The Royal Exchange’s retailers have debuted a series of energetic activations to help kick-start your 2024. Here’s our pick.

There’s no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate dress. So with the winter chill really beginning to set in, our first choice has to be SIRPLUS‘ timeless, wearable capsule wardrobe that will lend class (and comfort) to any outfit. The brand has reimagined Harris Tweed across a number of pieces for the modern wearer β€” as in this stunning Harris Tweed Raglan coat. This is the ultimate overgarment: comfy, warm and spacious, it goes with suits at the office and weekend jeans alike. Made with a weighty 100% pure new wool, this represents the best of SIRPLUS’ blend of tradition and modernity β€” and best of all, it will keep you cosy until the spring comes back.

January is a great month for getting things done β€” for imagination, ideas and creative intention. Perhaps that’s why we’re drawn to Boodles‘ range of delightful “Florentine” designs. Head of Design Rebecca Dawkins here draws inspiration from Leonardo da Vinci’s notebooks: fascinated by his sketches of pulleys, levers and machines, Hawkins dreamed up this new collection in tribute. The bold shapes of the design are matched but the striking colour of this particular offering β€” with marquise shape pink tourmaline and pink enamel in 18 carat Single Mine Origin yellow gold.

Jo Malone London

Revitalise yourself this January with a passionate new scent from Jo Malone London. The British perfumer’s new release β€” Red Hibiscus Cologne Intense β€” is an intense, sensual fragrance that will bring the spirit of adventure to your new year. The brand describes it as “an exotic solar floral inspired by a chance encounter with a rare and vivid flower in a tropical forest.” Look out for notes of red hibiscus offset by jasmine sambac and the sweetness of vanilla. Just the thing for bringing a bit of colour back.

Turn a fresh page at the start of the new year with a writing instrument from Montblanc. Our pick has to be the Montblanc MeisterstΓΌck Classique Gold-coated Fountain Pen β€” with black precious resin and hand-crafted solid gold. The brand calls this “a design that writes history”; debuting exactly a century ago this year, this “Masterpiece” line has become a byword for quality and luxury β€” and the perfect way to make your mark on 2024.
