Jen’s Plants and Florist

A blooming marvellous arrival.

Our Threadneedle Street entrance has been given a new lease of life. If you’ve visited The Royal Exchange this month, you’ll have seen our iconic building filled with the wonderful scents and blooms of Jen’s Plants and Florist, who will be resident here every weekday. From creative bouquets to fresh hand-tied bunches and beautifully chosen plant pots, Jen offers a refreshing take on summer florals.

It’s something a little different from the usual, and this new City spot reflects Jen’s ethos. In her own words: “I like to go against the grain, I like to go against the norm — I don’t want to be this person that fits in.” Formerly an investment banker, Jen has long been drawn to the creative arts, from fashion and interior design to architecture and styling. Ultimately, it was a calling that led her to the vibrant craft of floristry.

Jen left her job to focus on her passion for creativity, opening her first florist on Brick Lane. “ I’m so passionate about the plants we sell,” she says. “ I’ve literally found a newness of life.  I feel free to create: styling plants for our clients, suggesting where they’re best positioned and pairing them with the appropriate plant pots, vases and colours.” Visit her weekdays in our Threadneedle Street entrance — and pick up a bouquet of pure summer.
