Throughout the festive season, the front steps of The Royal Exchange will be graced by an array of choral performers bringing cheer and goodwill to all, singing a range of musical genres. All-male ensemble Meantime Chorus, directed by British composer Simon Arnott, will kick things off on Thursday 28 November delighting audiences with its spectacular a capella renditions, followed by The London Gay Men’s Chorus who will take centre stage on Thursday 5 December, performing a diverse range of music to the highest technical standards. As well as their vibrant performances, the London-based ensemble is known for its outreach programme helping to eradicate homophobic bullying in schools.

On Thursday 12 December, audiences can enjoy a more soulful grove with the Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir, whose contemporary gospel music has contributed to a number of charitable causes. And, in the final performance before Christmas, London City Singers ­– the award-winning women’s barbershop chorus, also directed by Simon Arnott – is sure to leave everyone feeling suitably festive on 19 December.
