Al Fresco Flavour
Luxury menus designed for terrace dining.
London in summer is when the city feels most like itself, expressing its dynamic international energy across warm days and evenings — made to be spent in company with a good meal and a glass of something. Our luxury restaurants offer al fresco terraces beneath our iconic pillars, where you can enjoy exquisite menus bursting with flavour: a perfect pairing to June’s sun-soaked atmosphere.

Fortnum & Mason is a name synonymous with luxury, and its restaurant at The Royal Exchange offers a front row seat to all things Fortnum’s. Graze on elegant bar snacks or enjoy the famous afternoon tea beneath the cool shade of our upper terrace. Indulge in a seasonal menu featuring seabass, ribeye steak, grilled chicken salad and crab linguine — alongside an exceptional wine list — in one of the City’s most striking settings.
Hot and tasty as a summer Saturday, the newest dish from Jang sees chef Dana Choi bring her fabulous Korean Fried Chicken to the restaurant’s sister venue, the Engel Terrace — a true cause for celebration. “Cooked exactly as it should be; crispy and spicy, and served alongside ice-cold ABK beer,” says the restaurant. “The hottest duo of the summer has officially arrived.” Enjoy it served in the sun, just as it should be.

We’re delighted to welcome Engel’s new seasonal offering, the Summer Afternoon Tea. Its delicate sandwiches include John Ross Jnr smoked salmon with smoked trout mousse and cucumber on beetroot and dill bread, alongside cream cheese, spinach and cucumber on basil and spinach bread. Pair with Hattingley Valley’s “English Champagne” or Jing Tea, finishing with Chef Lorena’s delightful floral desserts.
