All those who enjoy keeping fit, rejoice! The Royal Exchange is now hosting the Equinox showroom, offering City workers and residents an insight into the high-spec gym experience opening in Bishopsgate later this year. The new showroom allows visitors to learn about the Equinox philosophy, take a virtual tour, see renders of the new space and speak to the general manager and group fitness manager to find out what makes Equinox a unique and exciting addition to the City’s fitness scene.
Founded in New York City in 1991 with the notion of bringing together high-performance individuals and enriching their lives through fitness, Equinox has earned itself a reputation as a gym group that provides a luxury take on science-backed exercise. Twenty-eight years later, close to 100 full-service clubs operate around the world, offering bespoke design and a luxury environment.
Equinox Bishopsgate will be the third London location, and the first in the City. The five-storey space will offer members an unparalleled fitness experience with access to unlimited group fitness classes, a dedicated yoga and barre studio with hot yoga, a private pilates studio and a top-class cycling studio; alongside science-fuelled personal training, including lifestyle, sleep and nutrition coaching, to keep members at the top of their game. The space will also house a spa, steam rooms, café and members’ lounge.
Providing a taster of what to expect at the new Equinox once it opens, The Royal Exchange is hosting The Equinox Summer Series of fitness experiences. The first event will take place on Saturday 13 July, when guests can enjoy an invigorating slow flow and breath work yoga session, with Equinox instructors Danielle Wells and Mia Togo, on the iconic West Entrance steps, followed by brunch at The Fortnum’s Bar & Restaurant in the Central Courtyard. The menu will feature healthy and nutritious dishes, such as matcha pancakes with coconut yoghurt and lime curd, fresh fruit salad with mint syrup, and a detoxifying apple, ginger, pineapple and turmeric juice.
The yoga and brunch event will take place from 9am – 12pm on Saturday 13 July. Tickets cost £25, and can be purchased at the Equinox showroom in The Royal Exchange, or online here.
