It's all going swimmingly at The Royal Exchange as we welcome Orlebar Brown to the City

27 June, 2016

Just in time for last-minute holiday shopping, swim-short specialist Orlebar Brown has opened its doors at The Royal Exchange. The company was created in London in 2007 to answer the demand for stylish, tailored swimming shorts that look as chic out of the pool as in. Since then, Orlebar Brown has expanded into swimwear, casual clothing and accessories for men, women and kids.

As well as selling dozens of handsome prints and patterns, Orlebar Brown also offers customers the chance to design their own shorts by uploading a picture to the brand’s website and selecting their desired size and length. It’s a chance to show off your own artwork or photography in the most elegant way possible and, as Orlebar Brown has a five-year guarantee on all swim shorts, in a way that will last.

If you’re ready for an upgrade from your old trunks or board shorts, now is definitely the time to visit one of the brand’s stores. From 6 July, in order to raise £50,000 for the Blue Marine Foundation, an NGO dedicated to marine conservation, Orlebar Brown is offering to exchange your old swimmers for a pair of Classic Swim Shorts for just £50 – with £25 going straight to the charity.

It’s a unique chance to support a great cause – and make sure you’re beach-ready. As Orlebar Brown founder Adam Brown says: ‘The sea, coastlines, holidays and travel are all words synonymous with Orlebar Brown and, as a result, Blue Marine Foundation is a charity that is very close to our hearts.’ The brand has made 2,000 pairs available to trade on a first come, first served basis – just take your old pair to any Orlebar Brown store in London, including its new home here at The Royal Exchange.
